About Donating
below: mailing donations | corporate sponsorship | why contact information is required

The Rainbow of Heroes Walk has become the annual fundraising event for the Duke PBMT Family Support Program. Our mission is to care for, serve, and lighten the burden of the Duke Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant community through our volunteers and a comprehensive array of programs and resources.
Donations are tax-deductible. We are under the non-profit (501(c)(3)) umbrella of Duke University, and they graciously handle donations for us. If you donate online or via check, you will receive a receipt from our Gift Records department for tax purposes.

Company matching: If you are part of a company that matches donations, please submit appropriate paperwork along with your check or enter the information online when the Duke system prompts you. To see whether your company matches donations to Duke, search for your company name.
Link to us: Since we added the ability to donate online, we've noticed an increase in our donations. Many participants and team members have linked to our site and our donations page from their own web pages and blogs. Thank you -- this has helped a lot.
If you'd like to make a custom link for donations for your team, you might like our create a link tool.
Mailing Donations
You can make a donation at any time by sending a check made payable to Duke University to the address below. Please write 10RH (for the 2010 Walk) in the memo field and indicate if it is in honor or memory of someone, or for a specific team. Mail checks to:

Why Contact Information is Required for Online Donations
We are able to accept online donations courtesy of Duke University's well-established secure web donation system. The information that's required by our donation form (name, address, phone, etc.) is the same information required by Duke's system. Also, we do occasionally need to contact a donor to confirm information about a donation. Thank you in advance for understanding.
